The order that wastes the fewest credits
Generate, lengthen, finish.
Each of these steps inherits everything the one before it produced — including its mistakes. Doing them out of order is the most common way people spend credits twice.
Get one good take first
Generate short and cheap until the shot is right. A 4-second draft costs a fraction of a 12-second one, and every later step multiplies whatever you feed it.
Add the words, if there are words
Voice and lip sync come after the take exists, not before. A perfect voiceover over a clip you are going to re-roll is wasted work.
Lengthen only the keeper
The extender reads the style, palette and motion of the clip you give it. Extending a draft locks the draft's flaws into everything that follows.
Upscale last, once
Upscaling is a finishing pass. Run it on the final cut, after trimming and scoring — enhancing footage you will re-edit is the definition of spending credits twice.
What you need
Nothing you do not already have.
Three to six minutes each
The four walkthroughs come to 18 minutes in total, and none of them assumes you finished the previous one.

FAQ
Tutorials, answered.
How are tutorials different from the blog?
Tutorials are short, task-focused walkthroughs — open the app, follow the steps, ship a result. The blog covers comparisons, reviews, and deeper strategy.
Do I need a paid plan to follow along?
No. Every tutorial works with the free daily credits, on iPhone, iPad, Mac, or the Web Studio.
Where should I start?
'Create Your First AI Video' if you're new, then 'Make a Talking Photo' — the two most popular paths.
How long do the four tutorials take altogether?
About 18 minutes of reading and following along, spread across four walkthroughs of three to six minutes each. Nothing here assumes you have finished the one before it, but the order on this page is the one that wastes the fewest credits.
Which tutorial should I read if I only read one?
'Upscale Any Video to 4K'. It is the shortest of the four and it is the step most people skip, which is why so much AI video looks softer than it needed to. Most models in King AI output 720p or 1080p; screens do not.
Do I need to write prompts to use King AI?
Not necessarily. The tutorials here cover the prompt-driven workflow, but the app also ships 200 video effects across 12 categories that take a photo and no prompt at all. If a preset does the job, use the preset.
Will more tutorials be added?
Yes — new walkthroughs ship alongside new features and models. Check back or follow the blog for announcements.
